At BeambePrep, you have complete ownership and control over your personal data. You can delete your account and all associated study history at any time through self-service inside the app, via the web dashboard, or by contacting support.
How to Delete Your Account & Data
Option 1: In-App Self-Service (Instant)
- Open the BeambePrep App on Mobile or Desktop.
- Tap on Settings (⚙️) from the profile or menu bar.
- Scroll down to the Danger Zone section.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm by selecting Delete Forever.
- Your account and data are permanently erased immediately.
Option 2: Direct Email Request
If you cannot access your device, send an email from your registered account address to:
[email protected]
Subject line: Account Deletion Request.
Manual deletion requests are verified and processed within 24 hours.
Partial Data Deletion & Reset (Without Account Deletion)
BeambePrep provides users with granular control to request or execute partial data resets for specific features without closing their account:
- Reset Flashcard Progress: Go to Deck Options > Reset Deck Progress to purge FSRS memory logs, stability values, and due schedules for a specific deck.
- Reset Question Bank History: Go to Chapter Grind > Options > Reset History to clear attempt history, accuracy logs, and start a chapter fresh.
- Custom Partial Data Request: Send an email to [email protected] specifying which study data logs you would like removed.
Types of Data Deleted
When an account deletion request is processed, the following data is permanently purged from our primary database and servers:
- Account Credentials: Username, email address, display nickname, bio, and password hashes.
- Spaced Repetition & Study Progress: Flashcard stability, difficulty, review logs, intervals, and memory schedules.
- Question Bank Telemetry: Question attempt history, accuracy rates, chapter progress, and session logs.
- Gamification & Analytics: Daily study streaks, heatmap history, referral logs, and season leaderboard entries.
Data Retention & Storage Policy
Retention Period: 0 Days. Once deleted, your personal information and study history are purged immediately and cannot be recovered or restored.
